Coach Petrie is the Executive Director of Slam City Elite, a premier grassroots basketball travel program based in Rockford, IL. With over 20 years of coaching experience, he has a deep passion for player development and mentorship. A former collegiate athlete at Rockford University, Coach Petrie also served as an assistant coach at Rock Valley College and led the program as interim head coach in 2010. Currently, he is the National Scouting Director for Nike Phenom America. Known for his ability to connect with players, Coach Petrie is dedicated to shaping young men through accountability, discipline, and community service. His leadership fosters a culture of growth, both on and off the court, helping athletes reach their full potential while preparing them for success in life beyond basketball.

Former Northern Illinois University guard, Laytwan Porter, is a dynamic basketball talent known for his skill, speed, and tenacity on the court. With a passion for the game that shines through in every play, Laytwan has left a lasting impact on the basketball world.
